In line with the legal regulations governing the electricity market, eligible customers are entitled to change their supplier. The process involving changing a supplier is of a complex character, being defined by the rules indicated in the Government Regulation no. 317-2007 and Operating Rules of the Distribution Network Operator -Stredoslovenská energetika - Distribúcia, a.s.  

The change of supplier may be performed only as of the first day of the month, in case of points of supply featuring continuous measurement (CM). With points of supply featuring a defined type consumption diagram (TCD) the change may be performed only as of the first day of a quarter. Withdrawal from the previous supply contract - The withdrawal from the previous supply contract signed with the to-date electricity supplier must be performed sufficiently in advance and, particularly, in line with the valid Electricity Supply Contract.  

The new supplier (on the basis of the Power of Attorney) must submit to us, as a Distribution Network Operator, the Application for Changing the Supplier at the latest 40 calendar days prior to the date of change. The communication method between the new supplier, customer and DNO is defined in the Technical Specification for Exchange of Data. Confirmation of the change of supplier - The requested change of supplier will be confirmed to you by registered mail or electronically, based on the communication method selected by you.
